Claiming your NCEDCloud account gets you access to all the educational tools and resources your institute has to provide you and tons of other useful features along with it. Once you claim an account as a student, you will be able to view all the educational resources, submit assignments, view grades and mark attendence. Claiming an account as a teacher will let you view manage your student’s account, request and grade assignments and monitor your student’s progress. Lastly, if you claim an account as a parent, you will be able to access your child’d educational progress real-time.
New employees and optional new students from grades 6-12 can easily visit the official websites and claim their NCEdCloud IAM Service accounts. Keep in mind that students from K-2 Grades cannot Claim their accounts. Teachers can provide their students with their Students numbers and password through their “My Students” view tab and Employees (with a privilege role) can do the same.
How to Claim Your NCEdCloud account?
NCEdcloud Account Claiming steps are different for Employees, Parents and Students. You have to choose the Claim policy that suits you from the signup page drop-down menu. The steps to Claim an account for Teachers, Parents and students are given below:
Claim your NCEdCloud account via LEA employee Claim Policy
Step 1: Visit the NCEDCloud website
To begin the account claiming process, open your web browser and visit my.ncedcloud.org/.

Step 2: Click on the “Claim My Account” option
Once you visit the website, search and click on the “Claim My Account” option.

Step 3: Select your desired Claim Form
You will now see a “Claim Policy” drop-down menu, click to open the meny and select LEA Employee Claim Policy.

Step 4: Provide necessary information
On the page, you will be required to enter some of your personal information for identity verification. This will include your Employee Staff UID#, your date of birth and your LEA/Charter School Code.

Steps 5: Check the reCaptcha Box
Tick and solve the “I’m not a robot” box and click on “Next“

Claim your NCEdCloud account via LEA Student Claim Policy
Step 1: Visit the signup portal
Go to the NCEdCloud Claim account portal by visiting https://idp.ncedcloud.org/idp/AuthnEngine#/embedded/claim-account this link.
Step 2: Choose your Claim form
Now from the Claim form drop-down menu, choose “LEA Student claim policy” and click on Next.

Step 3: Enter required information
Type in all the required information. Enter your Student UID number, type in your Grade Level, your birth date (YYYY/MM/DD) and lastly type in your 3-digit LEA / Charter School code.

Steps 4: Check the reCaptcha box
Click on the “I’m not a robot” box to complete the reCaptcha verification.
Claim your NCEdCloud account via Parent/Guardian claim policy
Step 1: Visit the Claim account portal
Visit “https://idp.ncedcloud.org/idp/AuthnEngine#/embedded/claim-account” to begin.
Step 2: Choose the correct Claim form
Open the Claim form menu, and click on “Parent/Guardian Claim Policy” and click on “Next.”

Step 3: Fill in the required information
In the first box, type in the Claim code. A claim code is sent to you by the NCEdCloud IAM service. Secondly, type in the exact email address that you used to recieve the Claim code (a different email address won’t work).

Step 4: Complete reCAPTCHA Verification
Check the “I’m not a robot” box to complete the reCAPTCHA verification and click on “Next.”

Important: If the next button shows an error or it doesn’t work (meaning it’s greyed out and is unclickable). That means that there is some incorrect information entered. To solve this issue, recheck the information you have provided or see Troubleshooting Account Claiming issues for further help

Q. Can I claim an account if I’m not an educator?
A. Not directly, you cannot claim an Ncedcloud account if you’re not an educator. However, if you’re currently not an educator but still need access to the platform, contact your institution or school district and ask them about the available options you have.
Q. Do I have to pay anything while claiming an account?
No, claiming an account on NCEdCloud is 100% free of cost. There are no hidden fees or charges assosiated with creating your account. However, it will best that you go through your institution’s guidelines and agreements before claiming an account.
Q. How long does it take to receive approval for my account?
The time of approval completley depends on your school’s district or institution. In some cases, it can take few hours and in some cases, it can take days. If you are facing delays in your account approval, we suggest that you directly contact the IT department of your school and they will surely help you out.
